In collaboration with Awakesurf and USA Water Ski, Surf the Wake plans to host its first Wakesurf Jam, a grassroots competition in Northern California, on June 26th, 2004 at Calero Lake in San Jose, California. Calabria will supply the boats, WakeWorld, Hyperlite, Inland Surfer, Legend Eyewear, Boarders Paradise, Pimp Daddy Productions, Ridin High , Liquid Trends , Shred Stixx and many others will supply the prizes and equipment, and we'll make sure that there are enough raffles, demo boats, gear, trophies, sponsor booths, food, and beverages to keep you entertained throughout the day.

Admission and parking are free, and the event is open to boys, girls, men, and women of all ages. The entry fee for contestants is $40, which covers insurance fees, a continental breakfast, lunch, and a contest t-shirt. The divisions will be broken down into the following four categories: men's beginner, men's intermediate/advanced, women's beginner, and women's intermediate/advanced. All riders who plan to enter the contest must supply their own gear.

And, as if all of this entertainment isn't enough, we will also provide a clinic for any beginners who want to learn how to wakesurf. This option is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early. Clinic fees and details will be available at the event. The competition begins at 9am; awards and prizes will be given onsite at the end of the day.

If you are interested in sponsoring this event, entering as a contestant, or for more information, call (408) 371-7423, email WakesurfJam@yahoo.com, or see the Wakeworld website.
